Kegan T. Coleman is an attorney and local leader. Kegan has been involved in the political areana all of his life and is running because he knows we deserve a Mississippi that will support all individual’s aspirations.


Throughout his career, Kegan has been about helping others. From growing up in his parent’s convenience store in Calhoun County, to becoming an Attorney, Kegan knows far too well the notion of determination, hardwork, access to opportunity through education, access to jobs, and the importance of infrastructure to pave the way for Mississippi’s bright future as a national competitor.

During his early days of working in his family’s convenience store, Kegan understood the value of investing in community by participating actively, inspiring others through example, and coordinating various volunteer and community engagement programs throughout Calhoun County.

Kegan graduated Valedictorian from Calhoun City High School. Kegan expanded his business and political experience studying Business Administration and Public Policy at Ole Miss, graduating with honors. While at Ole Miss, Kegan was a Chancellor’s List regular, served as an Associated Student Body Senator, and was named Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Kegan also studied at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree, and with a renewed sense of purpose, Kegan found himself never venturing away from his passion for the rule of law. Kegan navigated his way through legal studies at the Robert C. Khayat School of Law where he attained his Juris Doctor.

Kegan has had a wealth of experience and knowledge working with current and aspiring leaders and has been involved in local, state, and national politics. Kegan will use these experiences to work across party lines to get the job done in Jackson to make Mississippi even better. 

Community and family have always been important to Kegan. His work has benefited countless individuals. His passion for helping others has been showcased throughout his community.

After successfully passing the Mississippi Bar, Kegan was administered the oath to practice before all local Mississippi courts, the Mississippi Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern District, and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Kegan was later licensed to practice before the Washington D.C. Court of Appeals. Kegan spends his time helping Mississippians and everyday hardworking people.

Kegan is currently engaged to his college sweetheart Ambry.
